Just blog hopping. Hope you're having a good week!
Hey Bleachsters.
Many thanks for your emails of support and good luck with our move and new venture. All is going well so far and we are really excited to put our expereince to the test. Its also nice to have some new blog readers (Hello Mr Steve
I know I am a few weeks behind withthe updates but I guess you can uderstand why. Its 24 hour party central and so have the gigs. We did a private gig at a Convent school in Alton whihs was a great success and Toby was a complete sweetheart orgainsing a mini bus to the local pub for us to chill in for a couple of hours before the show then also spoiling us after the show with more beer!! I have beer coming out of my ears LOL
The Casino idea was great and it gave me a few ideas
We had a lot of very postive feedback from the gig and it looks like we will get a few mre bookings out of it.
The the following week we did a localish gig for us (A5) to Tenbury Wells. I bumped inot an old friend, Jen, who I haven't seen for 10 years since she moved. So we had plenty to catch up on. When we first looked to see how many people were in the gig romm, there was only 5 and few ohoh went through our heads but as soon as we started about 500 people turned in including a huge Hen party which went down a storm with the lads. I thought they were going to have jaw problems when I saw them drop and they started drooling hahahaha. We had to do three encores and Carl the Landlord ( hey I know what I am talking about now LOL) praised us and said we were the best band he had had play at his venue. Two top praises in one week and also great feedback for our Agents.
Then last week we played the Corby Irish Centre (guess where
) and a great turn out for a Joe who organised it. The crowd danced the night away and we rocked out for over 2 hours. Joe has already requested us back and we are up for it.
Saturday night we were back in Botley ( why do we always get lost on the way to this one?) and an even bigger crowd then last time. Kathleen was celebrating here birthday with us and brought here gang of girls and my chum Donna and her other half Keith came to see us. Also hiya to Keith and Gillian who have booked us for a gig in Otford in November (check listings). Tickets are doing well already so get yours now!!!
PHEW! I need to have a lie down now. Surviving on fresh air and and naps. Catch you next week at The Flower Pot in Derby and a return gig to the Empire in Belfast
