Just blog hopping. Hope you're having a good week!
Wow! Where have I been? and what have I been upto? Well its been really busy here and getting our little pub all in order. Believe me its beena long haul but I think we are there now. Lock Stock and Barell was rammed. It was defiently the busiest night we had had there but I guess the one before New Years Eve will be more mega. it was also nice to back at base early LOL. I even managed a quick solo gig on the border of Scotland on the Saturday which went well and we were back in time to say good night to our customers who thought it was totally off the wall that we had travelled did a gig and come back again in a short space of time. Sunday night saw us at The Nags Head in Nuneaton which is another favs tomping ground of the Bleach. Packed crowd and great support act who funnily enough play Kim Wilde, Transvision Vamp and Nena. We both have great taste in songs!
The following week we played in a beautiful Art Gallery around the corner from where that bomb had been planted. But that did not hold us up in any way. We had arrived early and parked up, of course the Traffic Wardens were sniffing around the van straight away waiting to put a ticket on it. One of the guys got one after he tried to get change for the machine. Bloody hell! Apart from that, the gig went well and I got to go to my fav restaurant Wagamam's
Everybody enjoyed the gig and we were well looked after with plenty of wine (hicup!)
Saturday we played The Railway in Evesham and a familiar face was int he heaving audience... it was Ray from the Limelight in CRewe enjoying time out from the place (now in new hands) and it was great to see how he was getting on. Like I said the gig was heaving and everyone was on each others shoulders. I did have a DVD somewhere, if I can find it then I will upload it to YouTube. Talking of DVD's we have a brand new DVD for sale. Its a two set DVD filmedfrom The wharf earlier on this year and Darryl and Pat have a cracking job on putting it all together. If you would like a copy. email me on the usual addy intothebleach@aol.com £10 plus P&P
Sadly last weeks local gig was pulled. Based on new legal red tape that the wonderful Government keep bringing out. They forget to us Landlords what's changed. You know that you have to PAT test your equipment every year? Well, all public buildings have to have it done now as well so when you get nagged for your certificate ask them for theirs as well. I have mine
