Just blog hopping. Hope you're having a good week!
Afternoon!
We are tootling up the motorway to Halifax for a gig tonight. We have had the most amazing week with gigs and are totally touched by the support that you guys are giving us. Last week we were at the wonderful Flowerpot in Derby. Everyone was up for a good time and were singing and dancing from the start. They have made the stage slightly longer now so we can fit Martin and his organ on stage more
Hello to GD from Nottingham who travelled to see us and yes, we are back at the MFN in August and also to Paul for his lovely message in the Guestbook. The gig was a hot one so we can tell summer is on the way, well at least we thought it was. Four days of rain here, not fun when you have a leaking roof LOL.
The following day we flew to Belfast. Early start, but it gave us chance to get some sleep on the plane, or was it the double vodkas and coke? We were picked up by Paul and taken to our lovely Hotel. Any Hotel is lovely when they use Molton Brown shower gels etc. All the gear was provided so Pot only had to turn up with his sticks and the lads brought Guitars and a midi keyboard.(These so called cheap flights. Don't be fooled, they make a fortune on extra luggage!)
The gig on the night was amazzzzzzzzzzzing
It was a near sellout, although it was funny to see the audience leave and then come back. The no smoking ban is in so everyone had to pop out for a sneaky one. (Be prepared other bands) I have had some photos from Colin who took the last bunch that are on our front page. These ones are equally amazing and now I have been treated to Broadband I can now find the time to upload them. They look the bees knees! A nice lie in the next day (which is a rareity these days) and a flight home just in time to put the band on at the Newbridge.
Last nights gig in Bracknell was fun. We realised when we turned up that we had played next door for a birthday party about two years ago. The Theatre it self was stunning. A two tiered building with wonderful acoutics. Ticket sales were brilliant and anumber of people came down who had seen us before and been in contact. Hello Jeremy! We did two one hour spots and the stage was alot bigger to what I am used to so dashing back to do costume changes would have looked rather amusing. The feedback from the audience was wonderful and we had the whole Blondie wave going for Heart Of Glass.
So here we are again, back on the Motorway heading North. I will write to you soon
Bye for now
